It's called a backtap. The same thing happened to my spark plug threads. I 
bought one of these and it "fixed" my issue. Cheap, simple fix imo. Make sure 
you slap some heavy grease on the end of the tool to 'catch' any shavings that 
come off the threads. The trick is to go as slow as possible. I also had to 
shave the tip of the tool so it would fit into the thread hole. Let me know if
