Coworker of mine is about to move, and doesn't want to move his bike. '88 EX500, 5k miles. Laid down in '91, resurrected in 2014.
He says he's done carb work, it runs but they need synching. Plastics are there save front fender. Tires need replacing. Tank and coolant flushed. He wants $1k, which seems reasonably in line for "almost running" 500cc Ninjas in this area, but my sample size is small. My thoughts are to buy it, put tires/brakes/synch work into it, ride it through winter as a runaround, then look at flipping it come spring (when similar bikes start going for $2200+). Thoughts?
