Have a question for all those here knowledgeable on these bikes regarding
the clutch on mine....just got the bike back in july of this year with 34k
on it and noticed clutch was slipping sum so I ordered clutch plates and
new HD springs from bike bandit...dad & I put them in and all's well except
it seems to me the clutch handle is almost all the way out before the bike
starts to pull forward......is this normal?
Seems to me like the bike should be pulling forward long before i've
released the handle almost all the way....if it should be, what may be
keeping it from pulling forward say with handle about 1/2 way released or
what's normal?
I've been driving manual transmission vehicles cars/trucks all my 30+ years
of driving and I'm just wondering if this is normal on these bikes or I
have slave or master cylinder troubles causing it to do what seems to me to
be abnormal?

According to the manual there's no adjustments that can be made for the
clutch plates to start engaging any sooner....just thought I'd see what all
you here that's had bikes much longer than I have. BTW, this is my first
street machine....a friend had one back when these first came out and we
rode that thing all over and best I recall the clutch would engage much
sooner then having to let the handle almost all the way out as this one I
have is doing....
The clutch seems to shift fine while riding, no clunks, no grinds, none of
that, just don't seem right to have to release the clutch handle almost all
the way out when taking off before the bike starts pulling forward.

Thanks in advance,

geo
