I really wouldn't buy used. I tried a used pair on eBay and they were junk.
Ended up with 50$ spring bricks. I bought some Emgo shocks off eBay for right
at 80$ plus shipping. They're ok. And when I say ok I mean Mediocre. They're a
bit on the stiff side which should help you if you ride two up a lot. As a
150lb male I find them a bit too stiff for my taste but I paid 80 bucks. Your
next option would be progressive springs which run expensive. Anywhere from
3-500 bucks. Which is crazy in my opinion. Figure out the length of the shock
you need. And check eBay for Emgo shocks. Do you need eye to eye or eye to
clevis? I bought the black on chrome for my siren blue pearl 83 nighthawk and
they do look great.l I have to admit. My oem shocks I replaced were bouncy as
all get out. The ones I ordered off eBay were bent. I'd say if you want to go
the cheaper route, go Emgo.
