I believe you Phil, I used to ride in the DC area which is very similar, and now if I have to ride to Boston downtown is no picking neither. You can't be too careful. Those reflective stickers sometimes are much better than any light you can put on your bike. I suggest including those to you helmet to increase the effect. Be safe out there.
