The bike shuts off with the key. Then the bike starts when I turn the key on. Is the starter button stuck? I never looked. I'm already at work. I won't get back to the bike till Wednesday. Thanks though. I hope that is all it is.

The stator is part of the alternator system. Sounds like your starter solenoid may be sticking. Does it keep doing it even after you switch the key all the way off? Also, does your starter switch rebound like it's supposed to? I've had my physical switch get stuck before, had to clean it.
