Vince, I know what you mean about the size. When I bought the 1978, it seemed pretty big to me. In fact, thank God it had that roll bar, because it got off balance and landed on top of me in the driveway on numerous occasions! Then again, in 1979 I weighed about 135 pounds soaking wet. Not so today. Today my 750 is just fine, and had I been this size back then, I would probably own a 70's 750. But the old 550 is my girl.
