I remember a pristine red 91 Nighthawk 750 on Craigslist I had rented a truck for and traveled 300 miles for, half of it was like 15 mph Gun Smoke California mountains gold-miner ridges. I was pretty excited and at a decent price too.
IT WAS A BOMB! The pics must have been 20 years old, it sat out without a cover, the tires had scallop marks in them, it had parts missing that made it sit like a lowered 750 (THEY are low enough!!), it was impossible to put on the centerstand because it was so low and nothing to grab, and the transmission grinded and clunked ferociously. There was NOTHING salvageable from the bomb, and I did not know if I would be pushing up the steep hill coming back from my test ride. The little red neck and his neighbor said together in harmony, "It's smooooth!" Hint, I hope there was time-date stamps on the pics :-) On Monday, December 14, 2015 at 7:05:14 AM UTC-8, Allen wrote: > > I hope it turns out to as nice as it looks.
