I drain my carbs then pull off the fuel hoes and hook up A bottle of race fuel and run the bike for about 5 min. to flush Out all the ethanol Then I do not worry letting it sit over winter

That is why I just doctor up the gas, and try to ride them when I can during winter , or at least warm them up every few weeks.
