Yep, I can attest to the power of the rear brake. During a Professional Development Workshop (I'm an instructor with Idaho STAR (http://idahostar.org/)), we were doing a rodeo style competition, and going into the first cone, I locked up the rear and did a really nice fishtail! I did a textbook correction and finished in good time, and earned more respect from my fellow instructors! If anything, the one thing the NH needs is a dual front disc.
