A friend of mine has an SR50 which he loved then last year it developed SLOP (sudden loss of power) and would sputter and die. He took it to one Aprilia shop and they supposedly rebuilt the engine and it still wouldn't run right so they started blaming the design and everything else. He ended up calling all of the C-level folks at Aprilia until they got tired of it and commissioned another Aprilia shop to take a look at it. They tore it apart and found that the engine had never been rebuilt. In the end the issue seemed to be a bad crank (I had no idea those went bad) but it's back on the road again.
