hi y'all! I'm a new member on this forum. I've ridden for a couple years, mostly early 80's Hondas and Kawasaki Z's, but my job and social obligations have so far prevented me from delving too deep into maintaining my own bikes, beyond very very basic things. I just picked up a Nighthawk 750 from '97, which I'm quite excited about. I am eager to learn how to do my own work, and would be really stoked to meet other members in my area. Yet, in the immediate short term, I need to replace the chain and sprockets that came on this bike, as the chain is dangerously stretched out. I don't have a center stand (yet), nor do I really know exactly how to do it, to be honest. So, I have two questions: 1. I would be glad to meet folks to ride with, work on bikes with, etc. Is anyone from the Chicago area? 2. Can anyone recommend a mechanic in chicago, informal or formal, who knows Hondas? Thanks! Kay
