I just bought my first bike, a 1983 Nighthawk 650. Love it! I was looking
into hooking up a battery tender to it, and I have a question. I have a
Black and Decker charger that will go down to 2 amps and auto switch to
float charge, but it only has alligator clips (obviously made for car
batteries). I could buy a Deltran Battery Tender Plus and connect the
cables direct to the terminals, but if there was a way to use the charger I
already own, I'd love to. Is there a way to connect this charger without
removing the battery? Or, am I better off spending the cash on the Deltran
and making a more permanent connection to the battery?

Sorry for asking a silly question. I am new to riding and motorcycles, and
a lot of this seemingly simple information is a bit challenging to find.
