If I have a bike that starts in neutral, but dies as soon as you put it in gear, it's probably the kickstand switch failed open.
I know the clutch switch on this bike is dead, and the neutral switch works so the diode should be good. Only other thing I know off the top of my head that it could be is that kickstand switch. Seems reasonable to the rest of the group? I'm planning to test-jumper that switch, but I have to get to the connector first.
