What has your wife learned to ride on? I am a huge believer in working your way up from smaller bikes. My wife's success was greatly dependent on this process. First a small 250 Rebel, until she had to admit it was time for bigger-ness, then a couple of tweener bikes before a full sized cruiser. Her confidence grew, though slowly, with each bike. She still fondly remembers her Rebel, but can't believe she rode something that small.
You don't need to go with so many increments, as that can be expensive or cost you a lot in parts as you refurbish them all. But do start small, even though she may say "it's too small." soon after getting the first one. They sell easily. For every success I've seen starting small I can cite a failure where the ladies started out too big and eventually gave up because they never really became confident riders. If she tried your KLR as her first, and liked it, then she is either very young, confident and really TALL, or just wants to please you. She needs to own it, totally, and then you'll never need to find someone to go riding with again (or need marriage counselling either.) -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Nighthawk Motorcycle Lovers!" group.
