I have a 1983 Nighthawk 550sc. There is a little slapping at idle ( 34000 miles ) and I understand it could be the cam chain. I have looked in the manual and online, Can't find anywhere that will show or tell me how to do this. I am putting on my new valve cover ( Powder coated black ) and I would like to take care of this while I am in there. Any ideas, links, etc that might help me out ? Also, any extra sealant required on the Valve / Cam cover gasket ? Thanks in advance for any help you might be able to send my way.
