I thought I might not be right about that, but the only way I could confirm it was to search for pictures of particular model years, and it's no surprise that Google steered me wrong. Thanks for letting me know.
In any case, I'm pretty sure the black engine followed the silver one. More importantly, upon close examination, this prop replica isn't a very good copy. The exhaust system and headlight assembly are different than the bike used in the show.
