Yes, I found the same reference. Thanks. Clearly, both will work, but I was 
wondering which fit the spec in the manual. I'm guessing that "daytime 
driving" means "not on all the time." Nighttime driving means "on all the 
time." I also guess this would pertain to tail lights and front directional 
signals on motorcycles, which are on all the time. So maybe I should be 
running 1157s. 

My'90 PC800 had a 1034 in the front when I bought it, so I took that to be 
correct. But then again, nothing else was correct on that bike, so I don't 
know why I assumed that was. In fact, it had spark plugs with mismatched 
temperatures and the mixture screws were turned out different numbers of 
turms. Oy vey. The Nighthawk had bulbs that matched the spec in the manual, 
but what number bulb is that at Advance? In the end, I stuck in a 1034 from 
NAPA (Advance doesn't carry them), and that was the end of it (until it 
burns out again).
