Hello everyone my name is rhage and I just joined this group about 2 seconds
ago lol I need some help if yall would please.ill give yall some background on
the bike then ill tell you what I have done and what my issue is bare with me
my spelling and punctuation are terrible. Okay so I bought a 91 cb750 about a
month ago its all original accept for the vanse and hines 4 into one pipe. I've
only done very minimal to the bike as far as cosmetics or anything really the
bike was supposedly garage kept most of its life but when I went to pick it up
it was outside under some pine trees the boy I bought it from told ne he
inherited the bike from his passed away grandfather who bought it new. The
sticker on the front fork says it was last on the road in 95 of course that my
friends was a long time ago for a bike.so I got the bike home put a new battery
airfilter oil change and a new set of tires (couldn't believe that it still had
factory rubber on it that were still holding air quite well). So the gas tank
was kinda bad in my opinion so under the tank off of the pitcock I added a
inline fuel filter that is transparent. Here lies my problem the hose from the
pitcock that goes into the 4 carborators was not hooked up and were I live we
have mud daubers that will find any little nooke or cranny and pack it full of
mud now I'm only suspecting that this might be the problem because when I choke
the motorcycle and hit the starter it wants to start and sometimes does for a
minute but then acts like its starving for gas and quits. The young man I
bought it from said he pulled the carborator and cleaned it could it be that
something isn't put back wright or adjusted correctly if so were are the
adjustments located and what exactly are the factory settings going to be.
Please help I gotta prove to my wife that this was a good buy and if I can get
that beast to come alive with her standing there and then take her on our first
ride together ever and also the first ride on the bike itself promised her I
wouldn't ride it for the first time without her lol the things you do for your
lady lol.she will see that I am right about the bike as of right now I'm into
the bike right around $700.00 total including purchase price and battery tires
lightbulbs everything so if I can keep it that way and be riding it total score
for my wife and I. Thanks for the opportunity to be apart of this yall ill be
looking forward to any inputs have a great day and ride
