One thing that I noticed on the wiring diagram that is at least worth mentioning: the fuse block on my '84 700S is in a completely different order. I spent hours on Saturday chasing down an electrical problem and overall the wiring diagram is extremely accurate and was a tremendous help. I don't know if the order of fuses was different year to year or bike to bike but I even pulled the fuse panel to verify the wire colors on the backside. The order on mine, from left to right is:
