A couple weeks ago my wife and I bought a pair of Sena (model SMH10) Bluetooth Headset and Intercom systems. We each wear 3/4 helmets with a face shield, and I have to say the Sena units are AMAZING!! They have greatly added to both our enjoyment AND our safety when riding. We're now able to alert one another MUCH sooner to oncoming traffic or debris on the road or whatever. Sena makes several different models but we chose the SMH10 because it fit our needs and our price point. (We paid $284.25 for the pair.) We can BOTH be connected to our cell phones while talking to one another over Bluetooth. We can even share music if we like, but we haven't tried that. We love to talk while we're riding. I've streamed music when riding alone and it works great. I've also been on a phone call and it was effortless and I was told the Sena sounded good on the other end. We've never reached the maximum distance between units which is reportedly around 900 meters (or just over 984 yards). I have a little hearing loss but have NO TROUBLE hearing my wife whenever she speaks. Installation was EASY and the parts all seem well-made. We have boom mics since we have open-face helmets, but for those of you with full face helmets, Sena makes a microphone that is small and attaches permanently to the inside of your helmet just in front of your mouth.
