I've got an '85 cb650sc. Put on new Galfer SS brake lines, new master cylinder, new pistons and seals, and flushed the fluid.
But it still isn't that firm. My other bike, a 2012 SYM Wolf, feels like I'm squeezing a brick. Sensitivity is great. But the Nighthawk feels like I'm squeezing one of those stress balls. It definitely stops, but is much squishier in feel than what I'm told brakes should feel like. I've gone through several pints of brake fluid trying to bleed the brakes better, with a harbor freight suction brake bleeder, and being careful with the amount of suction I'm using. Is this just how the brakes are? I'm not concerned about safety. I think the bike stops just fine, but it just doesn't feel as firm or sensitive. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Nighthawk Motorcycle Lovers!" group.
