Been a while since I posted but am beginning a winter rebuild of the brake
system on my 85 CB650SC. I knew the system was in rough shape and needed
to be refreshed but kept putting it off until one of the front calipers
started locking up. As soon as I started digging into it I realized I
needed to go all the way with rebuilding the calipers and master cylinders
on both the brake and clutch. I have all the parts but I'm curious if
anyone has basted these in order to clean them and remove the old finish.
Just wondering if the metal is too soft for blasting and if not, any
suggestions on the type of media to use. Many thanks!
