I would be very careful mounting a windshield screen to a Nighthawk. I had a *larger clear screen <https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/03kAAOSwXSJXPMFQ/s-l300.jpg>* that looked great on my 85 and came out to protect my hands and face. I put it on as soon as I got the bike home. For the next several years I rebuilt forks, changed steering head bearings, checked alignments etc.... Trying to get the high speed head shake out of the bike. Finally one day I took the fairing off and put on a small postage stamp fairing just for the fun of it and the wobble went away!!!! Other bonus was that I found out that small fairings actually do a great job of deflecting wind and you really do not need it to be in front of your hands and face to protect from wind.
So when shopping for a windscreen... do not buy one that looks like a kite. Stick to the small sporty fairings.
