Hi there, The bike had been resting in the garage for 3 years until i recently put some life into it. While it cranked perfectly with no gas leaking from anywhere, i noticed smoke coming out of the left side of the engine. I couldn't pinpoint the location since the smoke was random and the engine was hot. During this investigation, the bike started severe knocking and went down. Restarted the bike and within a minute it started knocking and went down again. For the third time, i adjusted the race through pilot screw ( i don't know if the term is right, but a screw between the carbs that adjusts the throttle), and observed the smoke closely. As the bike got warmer, i could see fluid spraying out of the OIL HOSE that connects engine with the frame. The leak however was at the mount that connects the hose with frame.
Though the area is identified, i am clueless about the reason for such a pressurized oil leak. From the service manual, one thing that clicks is high oil pressure in which case i will have to service the Pressure Relief Valve. I don't know, please help me out!!! *Please forgive me for the language used in video, it was uploaded for a friend in anticipation of possible help. * *https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dSHVz46OrXk&feature=youtu.be <https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dSHVz46OrXk&feature=youtu.be>* -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Nighthawk Motorcycle Lovers!" group.
