Hey all, Looking for some suggestions. I have an '83 Nighthawk 650 that unfortunately sat for a long time with gas in the tank. Now I can't get it to start. I siphoned out all the old bad gas and put in some new, charged the battery, but it just turns over until it drains the battery. I haven't ridden much in the last year and a half, so it sat for a long time. Last time I rode was in October, but it had been sitting for quite a while before that (with the same, old gas in the tank). It ran a bit rough at lower RPMs, but I figured that was just the old gas in it.
Any suggestions on getting this thing to start short of dismantling the carbs and trying to clean everything out? I'm moderately mechanically inclined, but I'd rather not have to do that if I don't have to. Just hoping there's some quick easy things I could try. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Nighthawk Motorcycle Lovers!" group.
