I am kind of bummed. I sold my 650 in near mint condition, to a very nice young man. I owned it for 18+ years with zero problems except for normal maintenance items. I never had 1st to 2nd shifting problems and I never added oil between changes. I rode it almost all year round at least once a month but never as a daily rider.
He says it is burning oil so needs top end work, misses that gear shift so needs transmission work. It still looks great, he says, and pics support it. If anyone is interested, let me know and I'll put you in touch.
