Hello all, just got a 1998 750, and I love it. I'm also a fairly new rider
- I've ridden my father's motorcycle (a '75 Norton Commando 850 - he's very
trusting), but this is my first to own after taking a riding course/getting
my endorsement.

I have not problems getting 'er started, but my question is about how soon
I can very slowly ride away after starting. I live very close to some nice
neighbors, and I don't want to let the bike idle for a few minutes when I'm
wanting to leave early in the morning. I have 15 mph streets and a park
around me, and would like to start her up and ride off to the park to do a
few slow laps to bring up the temperature.

Any problems with doing this regarding wear/tear or a risk of stalling the
engine in a turn?

Thanks so much, glad to have found this group.
-Matthew
