>From the way you've described it, you haven't really cleaned your carbs
very well. Don't break the rack, but take off floats, jets, vacuum pistons,
etc. Buy a bottle or two of Yamalube Carb Cleaner. It can be diluted with
water. It will not harm o-rings or other rubber parts. Heat the Yamalube
bottle in boiling water to heat it up and then soak the barb bodies in
that. I do one end of the rack overnight, reheat, do the other 1/2. Then
swish the rack in a bucket of water an blow out all the passages with
compressed air. Be sure to blow out the jet in the bowl that is not
removable. For a long time I thought there were only 2 jets and wondered
why my bike needed started fluid to start. Sorry Kyle, but if you don't
remove the caps you cannot possibly blow out the port that requires the
bulge in the caps. Only when you feel air blowing out the other end of
every orifice can you say that your carbs are clean.

There may also be spark issues, but just cleaning removable jets and bowls
will not do it. Try the Yamalube for a complete clean without separating
your carbs. And don't throw it away--you can use it again and again.
