Hi, I want to replace the throttle cables on our '83 Nighthawk 650SC. Last October I ordered a set from eBay (https://www.ebay.com/itm/371977374042 ), however, they don't have the correct length. I found another set offered at Amazon, but from the description, they are also incorrect. Here is what I measured:
*Pull* Housing (old): 925mm, 36.42" Housing (eBay): 1130mm, 44.49" Play (old): 100mm, 3.94" Play (eBay): 110mm, 4.33" *Push* * Housing (old): 925mm, 36.42" * Housing (eBay): 1110mm, 44.70" * Play (old): 130mm, 5.12" * Play (eBay): 110mm, 4.33" Total play (old): 230mm Total play (eBay): 220mm Here is the set on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/Reproduction-Throttle-Cable-Set-Nighthawk/dp/B01MVAQ9BA They have these measurements: *Pull* Cable Overall Length: 1207mm, 47 1/2" Play: 114,3mm, 4 1/2" *Push* Cable Overall Length: 1219mm, 48" Play: 104.8mm, 4 1/8" The overall length doesn't seem to matter that much, but of course the free play is critical. I'm missing 10mm of free play on the "pull" cable to install it. Anyone know of a better source for those cables?
