She's a real trooper and given a few more rides she's got it. Awesome!

I’m as new to it as she (we took the basic riding class together). She’s been
out with the bike a few times, and has NOT dropped it again. She says she feels
more confident handling the bike now, so I’m hopeful. I’ll try to lower her
bike some, nonetheless.

I should tell the story how she dropped the bike (twice) on the day we drove to
her college town. So we finally got geared up and went to the local gas station
for the good stuff (e-free). While there, my mother-in-law drives by and waves
to her grand daughter. Johanna (the grand daughter) turns around in her seat to
wave back…and drops the bike! Super mortified, we head back home to switch
clutch lever (I got the broken one), and I question the whole trip. Later, when
we arrived at her town, frozen stiff, I went into the wrong parking lot, and we
had to back out. I was just saying “Don’t drop it!” - before she lay flat. But
I love (as a father) that she hasn’t given up. That’s what counts in my book.
And I’m getting better welding clutch levers.

More than you ever wanted to know about this family.
