Graham, do you have a little multimeter? Here is one at HF for $5: https://www.harborfreight.com/7-Function-Digital-Multimeter-63759.html <https://www.harborfreight.com/7-Function-Digital-Multimeter-63759.html> . I’d test whether you good voltage at the light bulb socket. Then follow down the harness and test at any connection for voltage.
