I have a 1984 750 nighthawk (canadian model). I was told to always use a oil with a Zink base. Stay away from synthetic.

I live in Osprey, Fl. Warm. Some sites show the first choice for oil is Shell rotella full synthetic t6 5w-40. I am going to use that in my 85 700s, bike due in July 2, 2020. Do you agree? Thanks. Gary

* I don't know if the 650 exhaust will fit, I had both at one point and a lot of parts do swap like coils and brake switches but never tried the exhaust. My gut feeling though is that they wouldn't fit, there's enough difference between the bikes that I don't think the rear bolts would line up, I could be wrong though. After owning both though I can tell you the 700S has a much nicer exhaust note which you mentioned liking about your current bike. I wouldn't take a chance on messing that up.
* No idea if the rear drum brake can be swapped out, I've never found it to be insufficient though, the dual front disks do most of the work.

Eventually, the only thing for sure I would like to change is to go to the chrome exhaust that I see on the
'83 650, can someone tell me if that fits on the '85 700S?
Two other thoughts of possible changes also are: is it possible to mount a Euro models rear disc brake on
our US drum model?
And, while I like the mini-bikini, I wish the actual windscreen went high enough to do some good;
anyone have some suggestions on that?
