I rode 15 miles to see a friend, the bike ran really well. On returning, the
bike lost power after 750 yards and came to a halt. I started it again but it
was running really bad, would not rev. I managed to crawl along at 20-30 mph,
but when climbing hills it would cut out. I opened the choke and this helped
but still I had to crawl along. It felt like the bike was on 2 cylinders.
Sounds like a fuel problem, any ideas?.
I have an in-line fuel filter and I was wondering if this wasn’t helping the
fuel supply.
Also, what are the advantages/ disadvantages of eliminating the vacuum hose
from the carb.
The bike is a 1996 cb750.
