I've had this bike for about 5 years. My mother-in-law gave it to me after
it had been sitting about 3 years. I spent a winter pulling it apart. Took
the carbs completely apart and cleaned them out and put in new gaskets. I
replaced the front fork seals, put in a new petcock valve, and a new
battery. I finally got it running consistently enough to drive it back and
forth to work. It had been dropped once before I got it and has a dent in
the tank and a scrape on the left rear exhaust. I dropped it a second time
on my way home from work. Going around a slow corner I saw a dog start
running towards me, it distracted me enough to run into a gravel driveway.
Thankfully I was OK and was able to drive the bike the last mile home. This
time the handlebar was bent, the gear shift was bent and the left mirror as
also bent. I was able to straighten the mirror and the gearshift. I
replaced the handlebar, got new tires, and added a front fork brace. We
were all set to get back on. I had a few more good rides until we had our
4th kid and I covered the bike for winter. A crazy wind storm blew the bike
over and bend the new handlebar I had just replaced. At that point I just
didn't have the motivation or energy to keep up with it, not to mention
opportunity. It's weird how when you have kids you rarely get to go
anywhere on your own.

Hope someone can get it running again or at least make good use of the
parts.
