Welcome aboard John!

I joined awhile ago to let Nighthawk owners know that I had a bunch of cam chain tensioner springs made up to

Silence the rattle under the valve cover. Typically the rattle starts after 22k miles, and happens around 3k rpms.

The spring wears out but its NLA from Honda so I had some made up to the original specs, but with a better spring material.

I’ve listed them on ebay for sale but can also send with PayPal

These are for 83-85 CB550 and CB650 Nighthawks.

Again, welcome to the group!

Subject: [Nighthawk Lovers] Hi, new member

Hi everyone, new  member here. I'm to learn from other members, and hopefully to help others.

I have a 1985 cb650 Nighthawk with 13,500 miles on it.

I just bought it two weeks ago, I grew up riding in the Southern California and rode dirt bikes in the desert. Bkes included Kawasaki, Suzuki, Ossa and Bultaco. My first street bike was a Suzuki 500 Titan, a two stroke twin.

It's  been a long time since I rode, so bear with me.

BTW, I do all my own wrenching and have been since I was 13.
