I was just trying to help both the "how to use the calling convention" and "less better->better" discussions. If the goal is experts avoiding _any_ extra runtime work, the 2-clause template way is best. It can be used to build a callback style out-of-module. I personally agree with choice/poisons, but not everyone does & consensus can matter.
