Library for making lightweight Electron-like HTML/JS GUI applications

Can you make it not depend on jester? I found jester is quite unusable for 
larger apps (must admit have not tried it in a while, but back then I've ported 
all my webapps away from jester, no regrets so far.) I would prefer if it would 
just depend on asynchttp server.
