In terms of reaching beyond the base compiler distro, there is some work here
on [Gentoo ebuilds that wrap nimble
builds](https://github.com/CyberTailor/nimbus). I've not evaluated its
particulars, but she has some whole mini portage tree with dev-nim ebuilds.
Things in this general direction would help less advanced/more lazy (Linux)
users of software that happens to be written in Nim to just install it how they
install most things. That, in turn, should help adoption. It may sound hard,
but there are **_a lot_** fewer Linux package managers than Linux distros..
Maybe there are rpm/deb/pacman/Nix/etc. equivalents to this preliminary ebuild
work? If so, that work should be encouraged! :-)
