I always felt a tiny bit uncomfortable with the name _Nim_ \- it has a nice ring to it, but _a shortened version of Nimrod_ just seamed a bit lacking in mystiqued.
Now I just found out that that ["Nim" means "steal"](https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/nim). There's even a mathematical stealing-game called "Nim". Everything fell into place. Good Artists Borrow, Good Artists Steal- and Nim stole so many good ideas from other languages it's a proper loot box. A bonafide collection of plunder, exquisite stolen artifacts perfectly curated, it's like visiting the London museum. It's a real weight off my chest! Coding became instantly more fun now that I realized the name perfectly sums um _why_ Nim is the language to rule them all. Good Languages Borrow, Great Languages Nim.
