After some small changes I got Debian's src-deb of Nim-1.6.14 built on all my
Debian/Devuan boxes down to oldstable (ATM aka Deb11 ).

It turns out that some stuff I'm interested in (e.g. ratel) needs an even
fresher version.

One brain hemisphere would like to have the freshest version that's available
for the distribution (De??an, later NetBSD too) even if it needs a local kind
of backport, the other one sure would like at least some 2.x version.

  * How would a nim-2.x plugged into /opt interfere with an nix-1.y installed
via the system's package system?
  * Will this cause problems in the user' in nim and nimble dot-dirs?
  * Other risks?
