If Go's implementation was the primary inspiration for this package, than to me, it's fun/nice to give them a nod. It's also a nice, shiny hook for people with Go experience to try Nim. Beyond that, I don't consider the history of the underlying feature all that important, but I don't have a dog in this fight. Also, marketing _should_ be considered to a reasonable degree when naming things when possible, IMO.
Mainly, I just think one would want the name to be a little more specific than it is now.
