thanks @araq. That's what i suspect too, since i think this started once i upgraded to fedora 40, possibly 39.
what does `-c` do? when i run `nim --help` there is no `-c` option. Running without `-r`, but without `-c` does not necessarily help, but `-c` seems to work everytime, so far.
