A month and a half after RC1, it is time for a second release candidate for Nim 2.2.0.
You can get the pre-built version from [our nightlies builds](https://github.com/nim-lang/nightlies/releases/tag/2024-08-27-devel-4c250d69a8c888a25dc3a6d483ff88a9392b5440) or build it yourself from the `devel` branch, making sure you checkout [commit 4c250d6](https://github.com/nim-lang/Nim/commit/4c250d69a8c888a25dc3a6d483ff88a9392b5440). To check if you have the correct version: in both cases, the reported version number (`nim -v`) should be `2.1.99`. Please report any regressions if you encounter them.
