Some other ideas for the booth:

  * Set up a playable game that was written in Nim, such as
[https://impbox.itch.io/vektor2089](https://impbox.itch.io/vektor2089). (This
is what first got me interested in Nim.)
  * Create “Try Nim!” tutorials at a laptop with the goal of getting people to
tinker with and fall in love with the language by building a simple app. (It's
probably safe to assume that users will have a little prior programming
experience given the event.)
  * Create “Why Nim?” flyers / banners that summarise the benefits from
[https://nim-lang.org/features.html](https://nim-lang.org/features.html).
  * Offer clear next steps for people who are interested enough to learn more.
(Direct them to [https://nim-lang.org/](https://nim-lang.org/), the forum, the
book, other users.)
  * Sign interested people up to a Nim mailing list in exchange for free stuff
(books, stickers, etc.).

I think the goal should be to get people who may not have encountered the
language to be intrigued enough to understand the problems it solves, to try
it, to get excited about the things others are making with Nim, and to go away
wanting to use it in their own projects.

Hope to see you at the event!
