Re: Difficulty writing wrapper using FFI

I'm on Linux Mint 18.1 (based on Ubuntu 16.04) and using gcc 5.4.1. Although 
not shown in my code sample above, I've also had trouble when testing bindings 
to C functions which return pointers.
