Nim custom Lua backend?

Lua seems to be the second most portable and uniform scripting language behind 
JavaScript, so I was wondering if anyone has written a backend for it yet. I 
think I saw a Python one once but not a Lua one. My specific use case would be 
the REAPER DAW, which has support for Lua scripting, and I'm sure there are 
other domains where Lua is useful.
