The big problem with RTF has always been that there (apparently) 
isn't *a* RTF. Different versions of Word cannot read RTF correctly 
that was produced by other versions. At least XML carries a reference 
to its defining document. Given an XML file format XML <-> RTF should 
be easy.

So if Apple has defined *a* RTF then it might be OK for Nisus X, but 
XML would have the advantage of being easily extendable - just update 
the DTD.

Just my 0.2 cents worth.
