osacompile(1) - compile OSA scripts
osalang(1) - information about installed OSA languages
osascript(1) - execute OSA scripts
With Perl -- not MacPerl -- you can embed a BSD command in a script. So perhaps it would be possible to run an OSA script from within a perl script via osascript command. Or am I wrong?
