Greetings,
This topic is not totally OT because it affects only NE X. Please reply off-list if you have noticed this problem. I first used TypeIt4Me many years ago and came back to it when the OS X version was issued. For those who do not use it, TypeIt4Me types small phrases to expand a shortcut. Its advantage is that it works across most applications. My problem is simple: Often when I type a shortcut, the correct expansion replaces it. For example, if I type *.rgx* [without the *s] then I expect to get a Signature : ================================= Regards from Brian Ferguson Mac OS X 10.2.1 & Nisus Email X 1.6.1 ================================= Then, all of a sudden and it seems to be only when I am typing a message in NE Quick Message windows and use copy-and-paste of a section of that message, the expected TypeIt4Me expansion is replaced by the previously copied text. I have been in constant touch with the author, Ricardo Ettore, but he cannot test this as he does not use NEX. He explained that what happens is that when I copy some text to the Clipboard and paste it, then this text is retained in the Clipboard until overwritten. Then, when I type a shortcut, TypeIt4Me saves the contents of the clipboard somewhere, overwrites the shortcut with the expanded shortcut and then restores the old clipboard contents. When this sequence is used in NEX, more often than not the original contents of the clipboard replace the shortcut rather than the expected expansion. I would like to discuss this problem with any other users of TypeIt4Me off-list unless members feel it is of general interest. There are other happenings in NEX which I cannot describe properly by mail; I need to wave my hands around to make things clear. But, it involves bits of text from one part of a message being automatically typed elsewhere. Totally irrational. ----------------------------- Best Wishes from Brian Ferguson ----------------------------- Mac OS X 10.2.1 - Nisus Email X 1.6.1 ----------------------------- --------------------------------------------------- The Nisus Interactive List [EMAIL PROTECTED] Searchable archives: http://www.mail-archive.com/nisus-interactive%40nisus.com/ To unsubscribe from this list please send a message with "unsubscribe nisus-interactive" in the body of the email to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
